IASI- ROMANIA

I'M  asking to my friend all over the world to send me description about their hometown asking them to say me which are the most amazing place/spots to visit.

So this time I  received valid suggestions from my friend Tibi that lives in this city.

IASI- it is situated in Romania and the pronunce of the citi is Iashi, it is condiered a medium city with 290000 and something popultaion.In th past it was the main city, then Bucharestdeveloped in a big city and became the administrative city of Romania.  It is rich of magnificient churches -it is considered the number 2 for churches in the city.

There is a famous university, Medicine university, wehre a lot of person from far states and country came to became doctor or nurse, we can say that Iasi is considered the Cultural Capital of Romania, a lot of poets wrote romantic poems about this lovely city.

The Cathedral hosts a saint called Saint Parascheva, who protected the town during the german bombings in world war 2. All the buildings around the Cathedral were destroyed but not a single bomb hit the Cathedral, not even a small damage was done.

Now it is more modern, made around the Palace a big commercia centre with parks,malls and playgrounds.

Romania is a orthodox country and the city is full of magnificient churches, one really important is that host The Saint Parascheva.

There is also a very fashinating catholic cathedral, I said it is a city really ruìich about churches, It is a good destination for a cultural week end/holiday!
